If you have purchased or downloaded a third-party Elementor Template Kit (such as from Envato Elements), you can easily import it into your WordPress site using the Master Addons Template Kit Uploader. This tool handles the extraction, media library organization, and requirement checks for you.
What Is an Elementor Template Kit? #
An Elementor template kit is a pre-designed, ready-to-import collection of matching page layouts — header, footer, homepage, about, pricing, and more — built to give a website one consistent look from a single download. When you import Elementor template kits with the Master Addons Template Kit Uploader, the plugin extracts the kit, adds its images to your Media Library, and flags any required plugins, so the full design lands in your site in minutes without writing code. You can import both Master Addons template library kits and third-party kits from marketplaces like Envato Elements.
Prerequisites #
To import a template kit you need just two things in place first: the Master Addons for Elementor plugin installed and active, and your kit saved as a .zip file — then you upload it from the Template Library.
- Ensure you have the Master Addons for Elementor plugin installed and active.
- Have your Template Kit saved as a
.zipfile on your computer.
Step 1: Access the Template Library #
Log in to your WordPress Dashboard. In the left-hand sidebar, navigate to Master Addons and select Template Library. This will open the gallery containing both free and premium pre-made kits.
Step 2: Launch the Kit Uploader #
Look for the Upload Icon (the cloud icon with an upward arrow) located at the top right corner of the Template Kits screen. Click this icon to open the Upload Template Kit modal.
Step 3: Upload your Zip File #
Drag and drop your template kit .zip file into the modal, or click to browse and select the file from your local storage. Once selected, a confirmation prompt will appear; click Yes, upload it! to proceed.
Note: The upload time depends on the file size. If the kit contains high-resolution images or many assets, please wait for the process to complete without refreshing the page.
Step 4: Install Required Plugins #
Once the upload is successful, the new kit will appear in your library. Click the View Kit button on your newly imported template.
- A notice at the top will likely say: “Attention! There are requirements that need installing.”
- Click Install Requirements.
- A popup will list the necessary plugins (e.g., Contact Form 7, WooCommerce). Ensure they are checked and click Install/Activate.
Step 5: Import the Templates #
You can now import individual sections or the entire kit:
- Individual Import: Scroll through the templates (Header, Footer, Homepage, etc.) and click Import on the specific one you need.
- Full Kit Import: Click the Import All Templates button at the bottom of the screen to bring the entire design system into your site.
Step 6: Use Your Templates on a Page #
After the import status shows “Success,” your templates are stored in the Elementor library.
- Go to Templates > Saved Templates. You will see all the imported pages and sections listed there.
- To use one, create a New Page with Elementor.
- Click the Folder Icon (Add Template) in the Elementor editor.
- Under the My Templates tab, find your imported page and click Insert.
Pro-Tips #
- Media Assets: Master Addons automatically adds the kit’s images to your WordPress Media Library during import.
- Check Layouts: After importing a full kit, it is recommended to check the Global Kit Styles to ensure typography and colors match your brand perfectly.
With the Master Addons Template Kit uploader, you can transform your website’s design in minutes using professionally created Elementor templates from various marketplaces.
