# Import Elementor Template Kits

If you have purchased or downloaded a third-party Elementor Template Kit (such as from [**Envato Elements**](https://elements.envato.com/)), you can easily import it into your WordPress site using the **Master Addons [Template Kit](https://master-addons.com/template-kits/) Uploader**. This tool handles the extraction, media library organization, and requirement checks for you.

Coming from Envato specifically? There is a full walkthrough with screenshots in our guide on [how to import Envato Elements template kits in WordPress](https://master-addons.com/import-envato-elements-template-kit/). To import a single template instead of a kit, see [how to import an Elementor template](https://master-addons.com/how-to-import-elementor-template/). If you used the old Envato plugin, read our [Envato Elements plugin alternative](https://master-addons.com/envato-elements-plugin-alternative/) post.

## What Is an Elementor Template Kit?

An Elementor template kit is a pre-designed, ready-to-import collection of matching page layouts — header, footer, homepage, about, pricing, and more — built to give a website one consistent look from a single download. When you import Elementor template kits with the **Master Addons Template Kit Uploader**, the plugin extracts the kit, adds its images to your Media Library, and flags any required plugins, so the full design lands in your site in minutes without writing code. You can import both Master Addons [template library](https://master-addons.com/template-library/) kits and third-party kits from marketplaces like Envato Elements.

## Prerequisites

To import a template kit you need just two things in place first: the Master Addons for Elementor plugin installed and active, and your kit saved as a `.zip` file — then you upload it from the Template Library.

- Ensure you have the **Master Addons for Elementor** plugin installed and active.
- Have your Template Kit saved as a `.zip` file on your computer.

## Step 1: Access the Template Library

Log in to your WordPress Dashboard. In the left-hand sidebar, navigate to **Master Addons** and select **Template Library**. This will open the gallery containing both free and premium pre-made kits.

## Step 2: Launch the Kit Uploader

Look for the **Upload Icon** (the cloud icon with an upward arrow) located at the top right corner of the Template Kits screen. Click this icon to open the **Upload Template Kit** modal.

## Step 3: Upload your Zip File

Drag and drop your template kit `.zip` file into the modal, or click to browse and select the file from your local storage. Once selected, a confirmation prompt will appear; click **Yes, upload it!** to proceed.

> **Note:** The upload time depends on the file size. If the kit contains high-resolution images or many assets, please wait for the process to complete without refreshing the page.

## Step 4: Install Required Plugins

Once the upload is successful, the new kit will appear in your library. Click the **View Kit** button on your newly imported template.

- A notice at the top will likely say: *"Attention! There are requirements that need installing."*
- Click **Install Requirements**.
- A popup will list the necessary plugins (e.g., Contact Form 7, WooCommerce). Ensure they are checked and click **Install/Activate**.

## Step 5: Import the Templates

You can now import individual sections or the entire kit:

- **Individual Import:** Scroll through the templates (Header, Footer, Homepage, etc.) and click **Import** on the specific one you need.
- **Full Kit Import:** Click the **Import All Templates** button at the bottom of the screen to bring the entire design system into your site.

## Step 6: Use Your Templates on a Page

After the import status shows "Success," your templates are stored in the Elementor library.

1. Go to **Templates > Saved Templates**. You will see all the imported pages and sections listed there.
2. To use one, create a **New Page** with Elementor.
3. Click the **Folder Icon** (Add Template) in the Elementor editor.
4. Under the **My Templates** tab, find your imported page and click **Insert**.

### Pro-Tips

- **Media Assets:** Master Addons automatically adds the kit’s images to your WordPress Media Library during import.
- **Check Layouts:** After importing a full kit, it is recommended to check the **Global Kit Styles** to ensure [typography and colors](https://master-addons.com/docs/template-kit/disable-elementor-default-fonts-and-colors/) match your brand perfectly.

With the Master Addons Template Kit uploader, you can transform your website's [design](https://master-addons.com/theme-builder/) in minutes using professionally created Elementor templates from various marketplaces.

## Frequently Asked Questions

How do I import an Elementor template kit into WordPress?

Install and activate Master Addons for Elementor, then go to Master Addons > Template Library in your dashboard. Click the cloud upload icon at the top right, drop in your kit's .zip file, and confirm the upload. Click Install Requirements for any needed plugins, then use Import on a single template or Import All Templates for the whole kit.

Can I import third-party template kits like Envato Elements?

Yes. The Master Addons Template Kit Uploader imports any kit saved as a .zip file, including third-party kits from marketplaces like Envato Elements. It extracts the kit, adds its images to your Media Library, and flags any required plugins automatically.

Why does it say there are requirements that need installing?

Some kits depend on other plugins such as Contact Form 7 or WooCommerce. After clicking View Kit, click Install Requirements, make sure the listed plugins are checked, and Install or Activate them so every template renders exactly as it was designed.

Where do imported templates go after import?

Imported templates are stored in your Elementor library under Templates > Saved Templates. To use one, edit a page with Elementor, click the folder (Add Template) icon, open the My Templates tab, and Insert the layout you want.

Do I need Elementor Pro to import template kits?

No. Importing kits with the Master Addons Template Kit Uploader works with the free Master Addons for Elementor plugin. See the [pricing page](https://master-addons.com/pricing/) for what the Pro plans add, and browse ready-made designs in the [Master Addons template kits](https://master-addons.com/template-kits/).
