Elementor Domain Search Widget: Live Domain Availability Checker (Pro)
Domain Search is a Master Addons Pro widget that puts a domain availability checker on your Elementor page. A visitor types a name such as mybusiness.com, and your site asks the WHOIS server for that extension and shows your “available” or “taken” message without reloading. Add an affiliate link to available results, or switch the button to send visitors straight to your registrar’s search. It suits hosting companies, web agencies and domain affiliates.
How to Add a Domain Availability Checker in Elementor
You need Elementor and an active Master Addons Pro license.
- Switch on Domain Search under Master Addons, Widgets.
- In the Elementor editor, search for Domain Search and drag it onto the page.
- Set the Input Placeholder and choose an icon or text button.
- Edit the four messages in Messages, keeping %s where the domain name should appear.
- Turn on the affiliate link if you earn from registrations, or use Button Link? to send visitors to your registrar.
- Publish and test a taken domain, a free one and an unusual extension.

Live WHOIS Check or Registrar Link
By default the widget checks the domain with an AJAX request. Your WordPress server connects to the WHOIS server for that extension, from a built-in list of more than 360 TLDs including .com, .net, .org, .io and many country codes. While it waits, a loader spins on the button. Turn on Button Link? and set an Action URL to skip the check and send the typed domain to another site, such as your registrar’s search page.
- Input Placeholder text and a submit button with an Icon or Button Text.
- Loader color and size, plus button background, text color, text shadow, padding, border and radius for Normal and Hover.
- Your server must allow outgoing WHOIS connections on port 43, which some hosts block.
Custom Messages and Affiliate Link
The Messages section has four texts: Success Message, Error Message for taken domains, Not Found when the extension is not in the WHOIS list, and Not Entered Domain Name. Use %s in the first two to print the domain name. In Affiliation, turn on Show Affiliate Link? and add Affiliate Text and a link that appears next to the success message.
- “Congratulations! %s is available!” followed by a Register now link.
- A friendly note when a visitor forgets to type a domain.
- The widget checks one domain at a time. It does not show prices or name suggestions.
Frequently Asked Questions For Domain Search
How does the widget check if a domain is available?
Your WordPress server sends a WHOIS query to the registry server for that extension and looks for its “not found” reply. No outside API key is needed, but your host must allow outgoing connections on port 43. Extensions missing from the built-in list show your Not Found message.
Can I sell domains with it?
It checks availability and can show an affiliate link or send visitors to a registrar. It does not handle registration, payment, pricing or domain management, so link it to your registrar or reseller checkout.
Is the Domain Search widget free?
No. Domain Search is part of Master Addons Pro.
Are searched domain names stored?
The widget does not save searched domains in your WordPress database. The query does go from your server to the public WHOIS server for that extension.
