Duplicate Elementor Pages and Posts in One Click
Post/Page Duplicator is a free Master Addons extension that adds an MA Duplicator link under each item in your WordPress admin lists. Click it and you get a draft copy of that post, page or custom post type item, with its content, Elementor layout, categories, tags, featured image and custom fields. The original stays as it is. It suits landing page variants, reusing a post format and trying a redesign on a copy before you publish it.
How to Duplicate a Page or Post in WordPress
The extension is part of the free Master Addons plugin, so there is nothing extra to buy or configure.
- Install and activate Master Addons from WordPress.org.
- Go to Master Addons, open the Extensions tab and make sure Post/Page Duplicator is switched on, then click Save Changes.
- Open Pages, Posts or any custom post type list.
- Hover over the item and click MA Duplicator.
- Find the new draft ending in “[Duplicated #ID]” and open it.
- Rename it, change the slug if you need a new URL, edit with Elementor and publish.

What Gets Copied
The copy is saved as a draft titled like “Hello world! – [Duplicated #1]”, where the number is the ID of the original post. It keeps the content, excerpt, slug, parent page, menu order, password, comment settings, every taxonomy term and all post meta. That meta includes the Elementor data, page settings, featured image and SEO fields from plugins such as Rank Math or Yoast. Elementor rebuilds the CSS file for the copy the first time it loads.
- Not copied: comments, revisions and the publish date. You become the author of the copy.
- After clicking: you land back on the list, where the new draft shows up. Open it to rename and edit.
- Who can duplicate: Editors and Administrators can copy any item. Authors and Contributors can copy only their own posts.
MA Duplicator vs Yoast Duplicate Post vs Essential Addons Duplicator
All three are free. If you already run Master Addons or Essential Addons for your widgets, their duplicator saves you a separate plugin. If you want more control over what gets copied, Yoast Duplicate Post is the more complete tool.

Frequently Asked Questions For Post/Page Duplicator
How is MA Duplicator different from Yoast Duplicate Post or the Essential Addons Duplicator?
They do the same basic job. MA Duplicator and the Essential Addons Duplicator come bundled with those addon plugins and add a row link that makes a draft copy. Yoast Duplicate Post is a separate plugin with bulk actions, an admin bar link, Rewrite and Republish for live pages, and settings for what to copy. MA Duplicator has no settings: it copies content, terms and all post meta, which is what an Elementor page needs.
What happens to the post status, author and revisions?
The copy is always a draft, and you become its author. It does not carry over the original’s comments, revisions or publish date. The original stays published and unchanged.
Does it work with custom post types and WooCommerce products?
Yes. The link appears in any admin list that uses the standard WordPress row actions, such as Posts, Pages, WooCommerce Products, Elementor templates and most custom post types. For variable WooCommerce products, check the copy, because variations are separate posts and are not duplicated. WooCommerce also has its own Duplicate link for products.
Is the Post/Page Duplicator free?
Yes. It is part of the free Master Addons plugin on WordPress.org. Turn it on in Master Addons, Extensions. Theme Builder templates are not tied to a single page, so a copied page follows the same site-wide header, footer and single templates as any other page.
