Elementor Animated Headline Widget: Free Alternative to Pro
Animated Headlines is a free Master Addons widget that builds a heading from a fixed first part and a rotating second part. The free version includes four effects: Rotate 1, Rotate 2, Rotate 3 and Loading Bar. Master Addons Pro adds six more: Typing, Slide, Clip, Zoom, Scale and Push. Elementor’s own Animated Headline widget needs Elementor Pro, so this gives you rotating headline text on free Elementor.

Style Preset decides how each rotating word enters and leaves. Every preset keeps looping through your Second Headings list while the page is open.
- Rotate 1, Rotate 2, Rotate 3 (free): flip or spin the word into place. Rotate 2 and Rotate 3 animate letter by letter, and Rotate 2 has its own Letters Delay (50 ms by default).
- Loading Bar (free): a thin bar runs under the word before the next one appears. You can set the bar color, height and position, and it uses its own delay of 3800 ms.
- Typing (Pro): selects the current word, then types the next one letter by letter, with Type Letters Delay and Selection Duration settings.
- Clip (Pro): reveals the word through a moving edge, with Reveal Duration and Reveal Animation Delay settings.
- Slide, Zoom, Scale and Push (Pro): slide, zoom, scale or push the new word in as the old one leaves.
Styling and Timing Settings
The Style tab has separate First Heading and Second Heading sections, so the fixed text and the rotating word can look different. Each one has Text Color, Background, Typography, Padding, Margin, Border, Border Radius and Box Shadow. The first heading starts with white text on a purple background, which you can clear.
- Alignment: left, center or right, and it can change per device.
- HTML Tag: H1 to H6, div, span or p, with H3 as the default.
- Animation Delay: how long each word stays before the next one, in milliseconds.
Elementor Pro Animated Headline vs Master Addons Animated Headlines
Elementor’s Animated Headline widget is part of Elementor Pro (checked with Elementor 4.2.4). Free Elementor has no animated headline widget.

Elementor Pro does more with highlight shapes, text after the animated word, a link and extra rotating effects. If you don’t have Elementor Pro and a rotating word is what you need, the four free effects in Master Addons cover it.

How to Add an Animated Headline in Elementor
In the Elementor panel the widget is called Animated Headlines.
- Install Master Addons for Elementor and check that Animated Headlines is switched on in the Master Addons widget settings.
- Edit a page with Elementor, search the panel for Animated Headlines and drag it in.
- Type the fixed text in First Heading.
- Add two or more words or phrases in Second Headings. These are the parts that rotate.
- Pick a Style Preset and set Animation Delay in milliseconds (2500 by default).
- Choose the HTML Tag, style both headings in the Style tab, then update the page.
Frequently Asked Questions For Animated Headlines
Is the Animated Headlines widget free?
Yes. The widget and four effects, Rotate 1, Rotate 2, Rotate 3 and Loading Bar, are free. Typing, Slide, Clip, Zoom, Scale and Push need Master Addons Pro.
How do I set the rotating words?
Type the fixed text in First Heading, then add each rotating word or phrase as an item in Second Headings. The words rotate in the order of the list.
Can I control the speed of the animation?
Yes. Animation Delay in the Content tab sets how long each word shows, 2500 ms by default and 3800 ms for Loading Bar. Rotate 2, Typing and Clip add their own letter or reveal timing fields.
Animated headline not working?
Check these in order. Add at least two items in Second Headings, because a single word has nothing to rotate to. Presets marked (Pro) stay static unless Master Addons Pro is active. If the headline moves in the editor but not on the live page, exclude the Master Addons scripts from JavaScript combine or delay settings in your cache plugin, then clear the cache.
How is it different from the Elementor Pro Animated Headline?
Elementor’s widget needs Elementor Pro and adds highlight shapes, text after the animated word and a link. Master Addons works on free Elementor and lets you style the fixed and rotating parts separately, with backgrounds, borders and shadows.
How do I style the fixed and rotating text differently?
Use the First Heading and Second Heading sections in the Style tab. Each has its own text color, background, typography, padding, margin, border and box shadow.
Can I use more than one Animated Headline on the same page?
Yes. Each Animated Headline keeps its own phrases, animation type and timing, so you can run different headlines in different sections of the same page.
What HTML tag does the headline use?
H3 by default. You can switch to H1 to H6, div, span or p in the Content tab under HTML Tag. Use H1 only for the main headline of the page.
