An element that simply appears on scroll is fine. An element that is uncovered, as a colored panel slides away to expose it, feels designed. The Reveal extension in Master Addons for Elementor adds that scroll-triggered block reveal effect to any Elementor element: a colored overlay wipes across the element as it enters the viewport, then clears to show the content underneath. You control the overlay color, the direction of the wipe, and the speed of the animation, all from the Elementor panel.

What is the Reveal extension? #

The Reveal extension is a free Master Addons animation tool that plays a block reveal on any Elementor element the moment it scrolls into view. Instead of fading or sliding in, the element sits behind a solid color panel that sweeps away to reveal it. Because the animation is tied to the scroll position, each element reveals itself exactly when the visitor reaches it, which draws the eye down the page section by section.

Once the extension is enabled, every Elementor element gains a Reveal option under its Advanced tab, with three core settings: the reveal color (the panel that covers the element), the direction the panel travels as it clears, and the speed of the animation. It works on headings, images, buttons, whole columns, or any other element, and adds no separate plugin.

How to enable the Reveal extension #

From your WordPress dashboard, open Master Addons and go to the Extensions tab. Reveal sits in the Animation Widgets group, alongside Entrance Animation and Transforms. Click its toggle so it turns on, then press Save Changes and wait for the confirmation notice. The Reveal option is now available on every element in the Elementor editor.

Add a reveal animation to an element #

In the Elementor editor, select the element you want to animate, then open the Advanced tab and expand the Reveal section. Turn the effect on and set the three controls:

• Color: the solid panel that covers the element before it is revealed. Match it to your section background for a seamless wipe, or use a brand color for a bolder sweep.
• Direction: the way the panel travels as it clears, for example left, right, up, or down, which sets whether the element is uncovered horizontally or vertically.
• Speed: how quickly the reveal plays. A shorter duration snaps the element into view; a longer one gives a slower, more deliberate wipe.

The reveal is scroll-triggered, so nothing plays until the element scrolls into the viewport. Scroll the page up and back down in preview to watch the animation fire at the right moment.

The result on the page #

Publish or preview and scroll down the page. As each element with Reveal enabled enters the screen, its color panel sweeps away in the direction you chose and at the speed you set, uncovering the content beneath. Because the effect keys off scroll position, a stack of revealed elements cascades naturally as the visitor moves down the section.

• Use it sparingly. Revealing every element on the page dilutes the effect. Reserve it for the elements you most want noticed.
• Check mobile. Short screens scroll faster, so confirm the reveal still fires and reads well on phones and tablets.
