Flip Horizontal · Flip Vertical
Translate the box | Hold the layout | Move anything

By Cordelia Vance, Transforms Desk
T hree words of three different lengths, set to one measure. Each line carries its own horizontal scale — 1.350, 2.374 and 1.121 — pinned to a left origin, so the block justifies itself without a single change to the type size.
The letters are not printed on the picture, they are cut out of it: type and plate carry the same photograph at the same size and position, and the plate takes over at the vertical edge where they stop.
The turned line on the plate is the second control — one Rotate of −90 degrees, standing in a strip the plate leaves empty. See SCALE, Page 04
Section R
Rotate · Transform Origin
By Jolie Marchetti Master Addons Weekly
Everything else on this page is set the way any section front is set: a flag, two rules, a byline and one narrow measure of justified text. The headline simply occupies the gutter that the layout was already leaving empty.
The photograph opposite carries the second setting. It rests at −1.5 degrees, the way a print sits when it has been laid down by hand, and straightens to zero on hover while scaling a hair. Two states, one control.

The band is skewed. The text inside is skewed back by the same amount, so it stays perfectly level while the edges run at an angle.
Apply skewY(-4.5deg) to the section and the whole block tilts, edge to edge.
Give the inner wrapper skewY(4.5deg) and the type snaps back to level.
Flip the sign on every other band and the seams cut across the page.
Each card is angled away from the viewer and straightens as you reach it. The stage sets the perspective; every card carries its own rotation.

In the digital age, fundraising has evolved far beyond traditional donation boxes and charity events. Crowdfunding platforms have become powerful tools that allow individuals, NGOs, and small businesses to raise money directly from people who believe in their ideas. Whether it’s for medical emergencies, educational support, social causes, or creative projects, crowdfunding connects fundraisers with global supporters in just a few clicks.
Crowdfunding gained popularity because it removes barriers between fundraisers and donors. Instead of relying on a single large investor or grant, campaigns can gather small contributions from hundreds or thousands of supporters. This not only brings in financial support but also builds a community of people emotionally invested in your mission.
During the past few years, online fundraising has expanded across different sectors—charity, startups, education, healthcare, and even environmental projects. Platforms now offer sophisticated tools such as secure payments, campaign analytics, and social media integrations that make the fundraising process smoother than ever.
GoFundMe remains one of the world’s most trusted platforms for personal and charitable fundraising. It allows users to create campaigns for almost any cause, from disaster relief to tuition fees. The interface is simple, user-friendly, and designed for quick sharing across social media channels. Donors can contribute directly with transparent updates about how their money is being used. For NGOs or individuals who need to raise emergency funds quickly, GoFundMe is often the first choice.
Kickstarter is ideal for creative professionals such as designers, artists, and tech innovators. It operates on an all-or-nothing model, meaning that funds are released only if the campaign meets its goal. This approach encourages fundraisers to promote their projects aggressively and motivates backers to help them reach the finish line. For entrepreneurs and creative thinkers who want to turn ideas into reality, Kickstarter remains a global leader in project-based crowdfunding.
Indiegogo offers flexibility that many creators appreciate. Unlike Kickstarter, it provides both fixed and flexible funding options. Flexible funding allows you to keep the money raised even if you don’t meet your goal. This makes Indiegogo particularly suitable for early-stage innovations and social projects where partial funding can still make a difference. It also supports a wide variety of categories, including technology, design, and community development, attracting a diverse audience of donors.
Ketto has grown into one of Asia’s most trusted platforms for medical, social, and educational fundraising. Based in India, it enables both individuals and organizations to run transparent campaigns and withdraw funds quickly. Ketto’s mobile-friendly interface and local payment options make it accessible to millions of people. NGOs often prefer it for causes such as healthcare assistance, child education, and emergency relief, where quick access to funds can save lives.
Milaap shares a similar vision but focuses strongly on community-driven initiatives. It has built a strong reputation for helping people in rural and underprivileged communities raise money for essential needs like clean water, education, and entrepreneurship. What makes Milaap stand out is its verification process and storytelling-driven campaigns that build emotional connections with donors. Many fundraisers appreciate its commitment to transparency and its effort to feature verified success stories.
Patreon takes a slightly different approach by focusing on recurring support rather than one-time donations. It’s perfect for content creators, educators, podcasters, and artists who want to build sustainable income from their community. Supporters, or “patrons,” subscribe to different membership tiers, receiving exclusive benefits in return. This steady stream of monthly income allows creators to focus on their craft while building a loyal base of supporters who believe in their long-term vision.
Fundly combines the ease of social sharing with powerful campaign management tools. It’s known for its simple setup process and visual storytelling features that help campaigns gain traction. Users can create engaging posts, upload photos, and track contributions in real time. Its integration with Facebook and Instagram makes it a great option for organizations that rely heavily on social media to reach potential donors. Fundly’s flexibility makes it suitable for schools, churches, and nonprofits of all sizes.
Crowdfunding has democratized fundraising, empowering anyone with a genuine cause or innovative idea to seek support from a global community. Each platform mentioned above offers unique strengths and opportunities. By understanding your target audience, setting realistic goals, and maintaining transparency, you can turn online campaigns into sustainable funding sources.
