## Field kit

## Six instruments leave the yard on every survey.

Each one is serialised, logged against the job, and recalibrated on a ninety-day cycle. Turn a card to see the tolerance we hold it to.

**

### GNSS rover

Sets the control network before anything else on site moves.

**

### ±8 mm horizontal

Tilt-compensated to 30°, logging raw observations at 1 Hz so the fix can be re-derived in post.

Calibration log

**

### Robotic total station

Holds the line where satellites cannot reach — shafts, tunnels, tight urban lots.

**

### ±1″ angular

Locks a prism at 800 m and tracks it through the pour. One operator, no rodman.

Calibration log

**

### Terrestrial scanner

Captures the as-built in ten minutes rather than two days.

**

### ±2 mm at 40 m

976,000 points per second, registered on site so the crew leaves with a checked cloud.

Calibration log

**

### Digital level

The instrument that settles arguments about settlement.

**

### ±0.3 mm per km

Double-run invar staff readings. This is what monitoring reports are built on.

Calibration log

**

### Ground radar

Finds the services nobody drew on the drawing.

**

### 40 mm at 1.5 m depth

Dual 250/700 MHz array, swept on a one-metre grid and reconciled against statutory records.

Calibration log

**

### Aerial rig

For the roofs, spoil heaps and quarry faces nobody should walk.

**

### 25 mm ground sample

Flown to a PPK base, so volumes reconcile with the ground survey inside 0.4 percent.

Calibration log

Serial numbers and certificates travel with the job file. UKAS traceable.
